Oh, Baby!

The time has come to play the part of Aunt Avery! I had a lot of fun planning Lacey's first baby shower with Havilah and Lacey's sister-in-law, Sandy.

Making a diaper cake was a new experience for me!

There were three tables at the shower and Havilah and I enjoyed choosing decorations for each one. Since Brandon and Lacey aren't telling the gender of the baby, we had a girl table, a boy table and a neutral table. Havilah made paper flowers and we decorated the girl table with jewelry, pink clothes and pastel colored candy.

The boy table had plastic bugs, frogs, shark candy, and grass picked fresh from the lawn that morning!

The neutral table had everything that could be used for a boy or a girl.

Expected time of arrival: 12-09-09

Havilah made a beautiful (and yummy!) fruit pizza

Lacey's nephew, Turner, was a delight at the shower.
I'm anxious to be an aunt!

At the boys table Jenny and her daughter, Laura helped decorate a blue shirt for the baby.

Audrey, Cecilia, Lorraine and Samantha raced to drink the most water out of a baby bottle. It's excessively difficult to suck for as long as a baby has to!

Robin thought the crayons were for eating.

Guess the baby food flavor in the diaper! If your stomach can handle it you can smell and taste.

Lacey received some very special gifts.

Now that the first shower is over, bring on that baby!
